Memorizing Contest
Our memorizing contest is in full swing now. This contest will end the week of May 13-16. You will get a prize from the prize box for every 50 measures memorized.
RULES
- You must memorize an entire song, not just a portion.
- Warm-ups and scales don’t count as songs.
- You may only memorize songs that you have learned this school year. (2023-24)
The top 3 memorizers win a $10.00 gift card to the business of their choice.
May Group Classes
Our May group classes are going to be all about preparing for performing at the recital. We will be practicing our concert etiquette and performing for each other. If you are unable to attend your assigned class, choose one that fits your schedule and let me know you are switching.

May Recitals
I have 2 recitals scheduled in May. Everyone is signed up for the Saturday, May 18th recital which will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church (1000 Helena Avenue). Notice that the location has changed since I sent out the notice in March. If you are unable to attend the in-person recital, you may attend the online recital on Monday, May 13 at 4:00 PM. It will be hosted on RockOutLoud.live. Please let me know as soon as possible if you want to be a part of the online recital.

Make-Up Lessons and Summer Lessons
Our school year lessons officially finish on Monday, June 3rd. You have contracted to pay for and receive 34 lessons (group and private lessons). I have 2 make-up days on Jun 7 and 9. You may also make up lessons during the summer. I do not carry over makeup lessons from one year to another. You may sign up for make-up lessons by calling/texting me at 406 461-5335 or by email (rsmaynard7@yahoo.com)
Summer lessons begin on June 10th. I plan on teaching from noon to 7 PM on Mondays and 9 AM to 6:30 PM on Tuesdays. The final day of summer lessons is Tuesday, August 6, 2024. I will be handing out sign-up sheets for summer and fall lessons at the recital.

Spring Recital
Our spring recital is set for Saturday, May 18th at 6:30 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church (1000 Helena Ave.)
Scheduling Conflicts
If you have a scheduling conflict, you can swap with another student. Find the student who has a lesson at the time you would like to arrange the swap. Contact me and I will have them call you to confirm the swap.
